Who did we work with?
The Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC) is devoted to improving the care for older people in Emergency Departments nationwide. With webinars, events and an extensive resource library, GEDC is a voice for best practices in geriatric emergency medicine, consistently seeking to innovate the field.
What was the challenge?
GEDC had a strong mission and devoted team, but was missing opportunities to share their work via editorial content. They needed to strengthen their social media presence and build connections with key stakeholders in order to better convey their important information.
That’s where we joined in, first learning the ins and outs of their competitors, defining storytelling pillars, and developing a communication formula which can be customized as their needs change.
What was our strategy?
The Trestle Collective sought to boost GEDC up from below, meeting their needs by supporting copywriting, creating editorial calendars, and identifying thematic storytelling for long term success. Our initial projects with GEDC included developing foundational website content, developing a LinkedIn presence, and creating a custom social media schedule.
As our partnership with GEDC has continued, we have expanded our efforts to meet their monthly needs, providing public relations support, managing social media channels, and streamlining communications throughout their newsletter and other sources.

Spanning LinkedIn, Twitter and Mailchimp, our efforts for GEDC have resulted in compounding success. From January to May of 2024, we saw
201% follower growth on LinkedIn and 5.1% growth on Twitter.
On all platforms, we have increased interactions above platform averages.
